💼 Indian Navy B.Tech Entry Vacancy Details 2026

A total of 60 vacancies have been announced for the Permanent Commission in Technical Branches. Candidates must specify their branch preference during registration.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must strictly meet the following criteria as of the application date:

1. Educational Qualification

  • 12th Pass: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • PCM Marks: Minimum 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
  • English Marks: Minimum 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

2. JEE (Main) 2026 Mandate

  • Candidates must have appeared for the JEE (Main) 2026 exam for B.E./B.Tech.
  • Shortlisting for the SSB Interview will be strictly processed based on the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) 2026 published by the NTA.

3. Age Limit

  • Fixed Age Band: Only candidates born between 02 July 2007 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply. There is no separate category-based age relaxation.

4. Marital Status

  • Only unmarried men and women are eligible. Marrying during the training period will lead to immediate discharge, and the candidate will be liable to refund the entire training cost to the government.

The selection architecture consists of four distinct stages:

  • Stage 1 – CRL Shortlisting: Naval Headquarters fixes a cut-off score based on JEE Main 2026 CRL ranks to shortlist applicants for the interview phase.
  • Stage 2 – Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview: Shortlisted candidates face the SSB interview process at designated centers (Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam) starting from September 2026. First-time candidates are eligible for AC 3-tier rail fare reimbursement.
  • Stage 3 – Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB undergo standard military medical assessments. Those already declared fit for NDA/INA Jan 27 entry do not need to repeat this medical examination.
  • Stage 4 – Merit List & Appointment: A final common merit list is drafted based strictly on SSB marks and medical fitness parameters.
